We just received confirmation that we will be traveling to Russia to meet our son on February 12th. The trip is about a week long and we are grateful that my parents are watching the "J Bomb" while we are gallavanting out of the country. I hope they are resting up as I type this. (We don't call her the J Bomb for nothing.) We are so excited to finally meet him. To think we started this process a year and a half ago and waited so long for this very moment. We have been busy getting together some last minute paperwork and figuring out where we put our warm weather clothes. They seem to have been misplaced with our move south. It will be strange to put boots on again. My father in law keeps telling me about the "record" cold there and saying, "Do you realize just how cold that is!!" I am starting to get worried. We were surprised to see that we were intially put on a waitlist for our flights. Who in their right mind would be traveling to Russia right now??
I developed this website as a way for you all to follow our trip and hear the happenings. We are hoping to be able to post to this site while we are in country. We are to meet him on the 14th. From what we know, we will be traveling back to Russia 4-6 weeks later but it could be as soon as 2 weeks later. (Hoping for sooner than later.)
We hope you all are doing well and wanted to thank everyone for all their support along the way. Many of you have called and inquired about our process even with it being as drawn out as it has been. Thanks for not giving up. We can't thank you enough and tell you what it means to us to have all this support.
We are truly blessed in every way!
Love to you all, Kristen, Chris and Jordan
