December Update! 2017

Had to include this amazing photo of my parents. The past two years has been rough for them. My mom started dialysis over a year ago and the thought that this procedure she needs to endure three days a week for close to four hours is keeping her alive is a tribute to her dedication for choosing life! This has not come without a cost and to see them both out celebrating the holidays together is nothing short of amazing!

Late Halloween... November 2017 Update!

Such crazy weather here in New England…

we experienced an early snow storm causing a delay in trick or treating. It has allowed us to strategically plan our trick or treating route to include a couple of towns due to their different delayed schedule. We kicked off our candy gathering in Newburyport with Gram and Coach and wrapped up in our own town scoring full size bars in our quiet community.

Bella loved the extra trick or treating walks and is loving the cooler weather!

Thanksgiving was extra special this year… We hosted Chris’s side of the family this Thanksgiving with families coming from MA, Florida and Utah!

York, Maine

I have taken on a part time job in the school system last year and love rotating thru the schools. I feel like I am the pinch hitter of school nursing and I go where they need me. I really scored this fall as I got to go on three hiking trips and lunched at the beach. I am getting to see so many beautiful parts of New England I never thought I would stumble upon without this gig.

Ipswich, MA

This is the trail Bella and I take nearly every day behind our house. It goes on for miles and I cannot put a vote in for which season I like the best hiking on it… every season brings a treat!

Boxford, MA

Best race time in New England is fall… best weather to run, wrapping up each race with a lobstah roll and some local craft beer! I even scored a hat in this race for placing second in my age group.

Newburyport, MA

Chris has run this race the past two years with one of his best friends from college, we call Cich.

I have never met anyone more positive!

We even ran some shorter local races with Garrett… Fun afternoon running a 5 miler in Topsfield!

It was a great race to prep for an upcoming Cross Country meet.

September Update 2017

Family fishing derby…

We certainly do not live near a year around beach so we take advantage of it as much as possible! The water is freezing and a useful tool for swollen ankles… we stopped bringing boogie boards because by the time a ridable wave appears, you have frost bite!

I have often wondered how moving the kids has effect their relationships as they are so often the “new” kids, the one benefit of moving is that it has made them a close unit. The don’t always see eye to eye on things, but there is something about the beach that always brings them together.

After a couple of beers, Chris is convinced he is the “Flash” (Jordan’s most recent obsession)… Jordan beat them all by a landslide! Garrett couldn’t find his speed because he couldn’t stop laughing and Trixie was down at the gate.

Hard to believe she is going to be 14 this year!

Ayden turns 11 this month!

If Jordan were a dog, she would have been a retriever! Always with a ball and up for throwing & catching.

Family field trip to Manchester by the Sea, MA

Found it ironic that the first boat we saw, had our name on it and the boat next to it was named after my sister, Miss Jen!

September means kicking off Fall sports. This year Jordan made the Masconomet Girls Freshman team and experienced HS sports for the first time.

The team finished up their season with an undefeated season…

BUT Jordan also wrapped up her season on 9/27/17 with

a torn ACL!! Going to be a long recovery.

Garrett started his middle school sports career off running Cross Country.
