Celebrating a fantastic year....

I can't say that it takes a holiday for me to sit back and pinch myself. I remember when Chris and I would take the holiday time off and venture into a big house project of some sort. Staying up most of the night to finish (just because we could) and thinking how great it was to just be together.... I remember saying to him, "does it get any better then this????" Little did I know... and a few short years later, our projects were still there... only they took on new meaning. Changing barbie clothes to building Lego towers and our mornings just wouldn't be the same without having tea set up bed side long before the sun seems to come up.

As we close up another year and I sit here wondering what the new year has in store.... and yes, I do pinch myself. Everyday!

Christmas!

We were lucky enough to be surrounded by our family this year for Christmas! Both sets of grandparents were here as well as Chris's Aunt and Uncle - Gail and Kevin!!!

Celebrating Garrett's 6th Birthday...

I remember taking Garrett to the beach for the first time. He was SO white and so tiny (for a 14 month old). He put his toes into the sand and just stood there looking up at me never loosening his grip. Today, we can't keep him out of the surf and he is always in the water no matter how warm or cold it is.

Garrett absolutely LOVES kindergarten and music. It will be interesting to see what he becomes because he knows lyrics and has tremendous rhythm yet, loves to read about the human body and how it works. He has an extreme talent in tweaking too. I hope one day this is an art where he can earn money from because he is THAT good at it.

We are celebrating today his 6th birthday.... and I can truly say that he looks at me at can melt my heart. To be honored enough to even feel one of Garrett's hugs is a dream. Happy Birthday G-Man!!!

Celebrating Jordan's 8th Birthday

I often wondered when I heard the term "mini me" if that would ever refer to me one day. Never did I realize, I would have a daughter so much like me though. (Both good and bad) She is always up for a game of catch, is sensitive to others feelings.... and yes, even shares the same temper. At 8 years old, we juggle all sports she is still "trying out." I have told her that we are going to have to prioritize things next year.... it is hard though because she loves to do most everything. It is so funny because I can say "LETS" and her answer is typically, "WHAT" or "DEFINITELY." So today I look at my 8 year old.... dying for braces.... always outside and I think.... I am so lucky and so blessed. Whether or not she feels that way as she gets older and realizes how much alike we are is going to be challenging.... well, we will just have to see! Stay tuned!
