Home at Last....

We made it home. What a long long flight, but it was so wonderful to get off the plane and see my parents and the kids. Jordan was over the moon with excitement. She blew by Chris and headed straight for her baby sister. She held her immediately! Thankfully, Ayden is an agreeable child, she didn't care one bit of being tossed around and getting hugged and kissed by everyone. Jordan is taking the big sister role very seriously. She loves her time with Ayden and can get her laughing hysterically. I am going to enjoy it while it lasts...

Garrett was a little different. He decided that he did not want his picture taken and that he sister is "cool" as long as mommy is holding him. It is hard for him to step a side a little and have some of my time taken away. But I know that behind that stoic wall of his, he is pretty happy to have her around. I found him in her room singing to her and he will rub her back when she is crying.

It didn't take long before we were home and Ayden needed to be fed. Jordan was first in line for the duty and as you can see, Ayden was pretty comfortable being in the arms of her sister. We came home to our lawn being decorated with a HUGE welcome home sign from our close friends. It was such an unbelievable moment pulling into the driveway and seeing how much you are thought of.

Ayden is not overly fond of her car seat, but she seems to be getting use to it slowly. I am looking into getting that glass partition installed between the front seats and the back. Why that isn't an option on cars is beyond me. She has taken to American food very well. She has finally gotten to that point where she doesn't need to eat until explosion. She knows it is coming often and seems to be digesting it better now.

It seems so long ago that we were in that very small town of Orsk meeting our daughter again. We have only had her just over a week. It is amazing to see how much they change. Each day we notice that she trusts us more and more. That could have something to do with the endless hugs and slobbering kisses she seems to get often.

It feels so good to be home!!
