Sport season has started in the Carey house and Jordan is having a hard time narrowing down her choices. She is playing T Ball for the Indians this year and asks daily if today is the day she plays with her baseball team. She has stopped asking for the trophy and realizes that it will come at the end of the season. This

week she has put me up on the
pedestal... "Mom, YOU are snack mom!" I guess there are new roles for everyone. All week she has thought of something different for me to bring. I hope I don't disappoint.

Garrett is really enjoying school. He asks me every day if he is

going to school. (He goes two days a week.) I am not sure if his enticement for "school" is fun related or the fact that he carries a lunch box. He takes his snacks very seriously and at the age of 3 will get his own lunch box from his
cubby and pack it himself. I never have to worry about him forgetting it as he carries it around ALL morning. As much as his energy, non stop talking and
inquisitive side is a nice break, I miss him while he is gone.
Ayden is doing fantastic. Today she had her 18 month check up. I wondered as we were driving to the office if she would still fit on the "infant" scale. In the past 6 months she went from being

no where near on the charts, to the 90% for weight and 50% for height. Her pediatrician and I had a long discussion on her walking or lack their of. Well, as luck would have it, she started to walk TONIGHT! I look up and she walked clear across the room. I don't ever want to forget these moments.
Ayden has also become independent in the pool with her floaty. This is a good thing for me as she constantly wants to go into the pool. She is usually the first one in and the last one out. This is huge considering Garrett and Jordan are part fish.
We continue to spend our weekends at the beach. We do not take for granted this luxury and love our lazy afternoons in the sand.

The kids are just as gorgeous as ever! Jordan looks like a pro on the ballfield. I have a feeling she will be having her choice of college scholarships!
Garrett is really becoming such the little man, it is amazing how quickly they lose that baby face and become little boys.
Ayden is just so stikin cute, I would love to just reach thru the screen and squish those cheeks!
What an awesome website! I am crying with happiness right now for you and this beautiful family you have created. You are so very blessed because you took this leap and answered God's call to build a family in a different and very special way. Your children are so beautiful and look so very happy! Even though things get hectic, keep enjoying all those hugs and smiles. They truly are priceless!
