How can I not kick off the New Year without a picture of my best pal!
We haven’t had much snow here in New England which is unheard of, so when a small storm passed through, we hit the local mountain to get out our skiing cobwebs and prepare for our February ski vacation at Sunday River, Maine!
We scored a Saturday break in sports and took advantage of the free day and skied at Attitash… Gorgeous conditions although the entire mountain was not open. Hard to believe there were no lift lines on this gorgeous day!!!
View of Mt. Washington
Warming up with a much deserved hot chocolate!
We find our entertainment during the winter months to be indoors. That is when we do our best cooking nights.
Welcome to Italian Night
homemade ravioli, sauce and meatballs!!
It took awhile to get used to the pasta machine… but the results were better then we expected!
It was DELISH!
While the boys were off skiing… the girls and I went SHOPPING!!!!
and out to lunch!
Tried out a new hiking route this past weekend with the gang and thanks to the new AllTrails App Chris found while we were in Hawaii, we were successful in finding our car again!!
It is hard rallying the kids to join me at the beach in the colder weather, but there is always one that is ALWAYS overly willing to go with me!

Keeping busy during the long winter months is no challenge for Ayden. Ever since we bought her a sewing machine, she has come out with some fantastic projects!
The bus drops off and we have exactly 45 minutes of daylight to make it around the small trail loop! Ayden & Garrett in particular love our afternoon hikes in the woods with Bella.
We were lucky enough to head to Florida at the end of this month to enjoy some Flag Football! Jordan’s team ended up winning their championship game and off to the ProBowl we went in
Orlando, Florida
This was a special trip for all of us as we got to see both sets of grandparents, aunt and uncle and lifelong friends!!
We had quite the cheer team!!
Although their team was not her beloved Patriots, she wore her Pop Pops top pick with pride!!
These two stowaways reaped the benefit of the games being so close to Universal and while they had to spend one day at the fields… it was well worth the warm weather, outdoor swimming and upcoming theme park adventure!
Two polar extremes when it comes to theme park rides!
We had our ACE rollercoaster team (minus Ayden) on this journey… while Pop Pop was a bit leery of the heart condition signs posted on each ride (regardless of the fact that he does not even have a heart condition), he survived all roller coasters - multiple times! He was however not the same after riding the Harry Potter virtual ride… noted for next trip!
Our tour support staff was amazing… often holding our backpacks and keeping track of the Harry Potter costumes that were in abundance. This is our base team! We couldn’t have done it without them!
While the kids (young and old) were at play… these three lifelong friends enjoyed a much overdue long lunch out. The power of true friendship!
We spent a nice long weekend laughing at old memories and creating new ones.
A truly memorable trip!!!
I am so lucky to have such great men in my life!
Spending time with my “boyfriend” was a highlight. The hide and go seek competition was tough, but we both were able to find some challenging hiding places.
Makes you feel lucky to have so many amazing people in your corner!
