July Update 2019

We are kicking off this summer spending the week on Lake Murray in Colombia SC. We are definitely a water family. We are eager to spend the week, wake boarding, tubing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding.

Bella is in her glory having full on lake access. It is rare to see her outside of the water.
She has a great view this week!

Pop Pop/My Dad joined us on this trip. It is the first leg of a field trip to him, traveling to Delaware, PA and NY then back to SC. He is refusing a wake boarding lesson despite his new bionic hip.

Our entire vacation budget will go directly to gas… I cannot even count the number of times we have been around this lake.

Bella and Pop Pop fishing… no fish caught.

We were able to take the afternoon and go and visit the school that Garrett will be attending next year Camden Military Academy near here in Camden, SC.

Bella LOVED the boat!!!
When we would finally come back in for lunch, she would not get off the boat in fear of us leaving without her. When she would go missing… we would find her on the boat.

All day fishing… but no fish. Pretty par for this duo.

Chris and Bella paddle boarding…

After leaving Lake Murray we headed to Charleston, SC to visit my sister and her family. We are taking our pilgrimage to Costco to load up.

My job was to hang in the car with one of my favorite dog nieces Scout! I think she has more energy than I do… if that is possible. She had a bit of separation anxiety from my sister.

Garrett was given the opportunity to do a 28 Outward Bound program. He will spend the next month living off the land in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. I am excited to hear about his experience and look forward to him gaining more confidence in himself.

Cousins Rock!!! These two are the best of pals!

Once home, I hosted my first book club in my new house. I have a great group of friends and we are coming up on our 10th anniversary of being a part of such a wonderful group. In this picture we are all on the Cheng Jiang… going for a midnight spin. I am sure my neighbors loved the sound of the engine! Thank god for hurricane grade windows!

Can’t go long without our toes in the sand….

We sure enjoy our evenings at the beach.

July has tired this puppers out…
