July Blog... Longest Pandemic EVER! 2020

Have to admit, this boat club has saved us in so many ways. The social distancing has been a challenge for everyone. Not knowing what to do and wanting to get out of the house.. We can go out wake boarding, tubing, fishing or just dock up on a sand bar and have a picnic. The time this has given our family together has been invaluable. I truly appreciate Chris for nudging me to take the courses to have such freedom on the open water.

When not on the water, we are looking for creative recipes to keep us on our culinary toes. This month for July 4th we decided to do a low country boil. My mom sent me this pot a couple of years ago. I am glad to put it to some good use. (Yes I am posting pictures of food)

Random picture of our backyard… but I thought I would add it. Not sure if you can see why I put it in here. Garrett was helping me with the lawn this month. He was doing the weed whacking and I was mowing. When I got to this section, I saw the message he left for me. Sweetest Gesture!!!!!

Our inlet has the most beautiful lighthouse!

My Dad comes over to hang with our crew some weekends. Wish the fish we were catching were bigger… but it was a fun day out on the boat regardless.

Can’t say we are always making the best choices… but we got a few jumps off this sunken boat until they removed it…

The Sandbar at Peanut Island was pretty quiet on the days we go…

Avoiding the crowds is how we role.

And we try to bring Bella on as many adventures as possible. She loves the boat too but can only go when the weather is cool enough.

I am not sure how long things will remain in this limbo, but I have to feel that it is a way of bringing families closer together. Life is not so busy and our time together has really been helpful in strengthening our family unit.

Stay Safe!
