Celebrating Jordan's 8th Birthday

I often wondered when I heard the term "mini me" if that would ever refer to me one day. Never did I realize, I would have a daughter so much like me though. (Both good and bad) She is always up for a game of catch, is sensitive to others feelings.... and yes, even shares the same temper. At 8 years old, we juggle all sports she is still "trying out." I have told her that we are going to have to prioritize things next year.... it is hard though because she loves to do most everything. It is so funny because I can say "LETS" and her answer is typically, "WHAT" or "DEFINITELY." So today I look at my 8 year old.... dying for braces.... always outside and I think.... I am so lucky and so blessed. Whether or not she feels that way as she gets older and realizes how much alike we are is going to be challenging.... well, we will just have to see! Stay tuned!

November Update.... Always Thankful!

Three little monkeys bathing in a tub... When thinking about being thankful this Thanksgiving, how can you not think of your family. We are starting to get full swing into the holidays and the kids are getting pretty pumped.

Harold showed up... our Elf on the Shelf... should make for an interesting few weeks having to remember one more thing. I can't believe though how much a stuffed doll can really turn around bad behavior... if only they could come up with a doll that sticks around during the non holiday months.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

The Magic of Halloween...

Halloween is Garrett's favorite holiday. He LOVES the decorations and the spooky appeal. Halloween officially begins when Rupert (one of our coveted decorations) makes his magical appearance. Jordan was not sure she was going to dress up this year. I was pretty surprised. I am not ready for her to get old enough where dressing up becomes "uncool." Garrett had his costume picked out since last Halloween. He never waivered. Ayden had so many ideas and thankfully got to wear most of her costumes with each party she attended. Saving her Cinderella costume for the big finale. We are officially in candy coma!
Happy Halloween!!!
