Summer in Charleston!

By far one of our highlights was when ROCK joined us.  After nearly 7 weeks apart, two cancelled flights and a very long journey, he arrived!!
We were very excited to finally have him with us…

If you asked the kids what they most are loving most…
The cousins, The Cousins… The Cousins.   Including…. Stella the dog.

Garrett has it made in the shade… or does he.  There are times when I do actually feel sorry for him sandwiched between two strong willed ladies!
But in truth… he can hold his own.

The pact together…  (minus Keegan)

Pop Pop and part of his grandkid crew…
Seeing the family is by far the best part of our summer!!

Beaching it in July!

We weren’t at a shortage of things to do in Charleston…  Our “Crusher” managed to find itself at the beach most days.  Pop Pop gave some free boogie boarding lessons to the girls.   He sure knows just how to hit the wave at the right time.

But it was Garrett that learned the true art of body surfing…
Garrett was hooked!!  and obsessed with learning.

I was never in a shortage of finding someone to come with me…   There were a lot of critters on this hike … I am not totally sure Ayden will be on board for a second go around.

It didn’t take us long to realize just how much we missed the food in the U.S.

Having the beach at our finger tips again made us feel the most at home… It sure feels good to be back!!

Summah 2012!!

It didn’t take us long once landing in Charleston to dig our toes into the sand.  We had an amazing homecoming at the airport and it was absolutely perfect having my sister and her family there.   Between the two of us our families have kids ranging from 18 to 5 years old.    We are counting down the days to have Chris join us in three weeks and our family to be whole again.
Jordan’s wings spread wide once arriving… she loved the ease of catching fish in my sisters pond.
Jordan's fishing partner ~ Pop Pop (my dad)
The diabolical duo… always finding fun!
If only I could really send them grocery shopping for me!   The Children’s museum was a fun alternative to some unexpected rainy weather.
Finally, a place where pushing buttons is neither annoying nor is the button connected to some store alarm.  Garrett was in his glory!!!
Ayden didn’t waste any time opening the full service nail salon.
But at the end of the day… our most favorite place to be… was the beach!!!
It sure feels good to be home and with our family again!
