December 2020

So grateful to have the fields open and to be able to see this girl play!

Took a day off with my man… fishing in the cooler weather. Hard to believe we are in Florida and I am in a winter jacket.

Lighthouse Point

It is so great having Garrett home and Ann and Mike here for the season.

Even Bella can come on the boat because of the cooler weather. Of course she does not leave Coach’s side.

I am chopped liver when he is around…

All to fitting for my redneck!

So love this guy!

Our annual Highlands cookie exchange kept us busy this year. While we had to do it virtually, I really have to give a shout out to my friend Margot for not letting the pandemic get in the way of traditions.

Our creation this year was festive wreaths and my team managed to take away “Most Festive” award this year!

Garrett playing some board games with Gram…

And some birthday celebrations! Aunt Cindy made this scarf for Garrett.

So glad to have the beaches opened…

We were even lucky enough to have a visit from Chris’s brother Mitchell for a few weeks.

Bella doing what she does best…

Have to admit, the water was cold but it wasn’t going to stop them from tubing!

Stuart, Florida

The best days spent during this crazy time… are the ones with family.  It is so nice to have everyone home and together.

And even got a few signs from my Mom…

Happy Holidays!!!

November Update 2020

A night with my girls sipping and crafting!

A nice treat to do something so normal with all of this COVID crap! After having to cancel our Christmas cruise, it was nice to make something to decorate for the holidays.

Pop Pop came over for a nice visit over Thanksgiving. We got a few days out on the boat.

We are loving our backyard paradise here in South Florida. The family time we have gotten to spend together is the biggest benefit.

Having Garrett home for the holidays is my best gift of all. He is halfway through his second year at Camden Military Academy. The house is way to quiet when he is gone. Having the band back together for the holidays makes me feel whole.

So much to be thankful for this year… these three are what keep me grounded.

Happy Thanksgiving!

October 2020 - Can not believe!

I still cannot believe that I have a senior this year!

I have no idea where the time went but I wish I could slow time down just a little. As hard as it is to maintain social distancing, I have a really fun crew to distance with. I appreciate the quality time given to me to spend with my family…

I was lucky enough to have my sister and dad come to visit … to connect and check in on each other.

So happy that we are all safe and healthy.

While we wait for the covid vaccine, we thought we would at least get our flu shots to keep us as healthy as we can. Plus the 10 dollar gift card from Publix for getting the vaccine came in handy for some much needed chocolate and ice cream.

Even though Halloween was cancelled, it did not stop us from getting dressed up and doing our own version of trick or treating.

Staying positive and continuing to count our many blessings!!!
