June Update! Summer!

Life is good with us… School is out and Bella is keeping us entertained and well walked.

We are kicking off the summer just enjoying NOT being on a schedule or time line.

My diva shopper… Can’t totally relate to her fashion sense at times, but she sure has the shopping gene down! So love my afternoon with my youngest love.

 

Jordan wrapped up 7th grade with her power of one project. She is teaching herself to play the guitar. We have since gotten her some lessons, but I was amazed to see what determination and passion looks like before getting the formal training. I wish I had an ounce of this girls work ethic…

 

 

Having one kid in middle school means, she gets out of school over an hour before her brother and sister. We often fill that time with something adventurous and today we did some rip sticking together.

We are as predictable as can be… most nights you can find us pool side, with a BBQ and a fire. So love our paradise and our entertainers…

Summer = Beach

No surprise that there is a DD on the way. In fact, there is a DD on the way to just about everywhere in Massachusetts!

 

After living here two years, this summer, I decided that we were going to really get to know our neck of the woods. We opened up summer with a FFT. (Family Field Trip) to a nearby town, Rockport. Rockport sits at the very top of Cape Ann. We fell in love with this town immediately.

Opening Day for us at Stiles Pond… Questioning whether the water was warm enough… Seems like a few weeks ago there was still ice floating around.

 

An afternoon spent fishing… Ayden killed it with the most fish caught!

May Update! Will summer ever get here!!!!

The weather is slowly warming up, but not fast enough for my liking. I want to plant my flower boxes, get out my patio furniture and get OUTSIDE! Everyone here is telling me not to even think about planting outside until well after Memorial Day. Really??? That doesn’t give me much time to enjoy them. The ground is thawing out and we are a few short weeks away from being out of school. Everyone is trying to get those last minute projects and appointments in before the kids are off for the summer and we become the entertainment coordinator.

One gal that is looking forward to her human siblings being home full time is Bella.

My best pal and I have been spending a lot of time on the trails in our town. She is the perfect companion…

We had to take a couple of weeks off our hikes however to rest after having her girlies taken care of. She did not want to miss out on our bus stop walks so we improvised with the wagon.

Even with the cone… she is adorable!!

But no one prepared us for the smell of such cone after being worn for several days. Apparently, it even knocked HER out!

To help pass the time, I was desperate for a diversion… and got just that. My sister surprised me and came to visit!!! Hands down, time spent with my sister is top on my list of ideal!

We did homemade mani/pedis… and had a lot of laughs. I am so blessed to have Jen in my life!!

My sister is very active… which gave even Bella a run for the money. We definitely pooped her out…

Ayden gives new meaning to spirit day… Often coming down with various outfits and accessories… I love her positive attitude and ability to find happiness in the little things.
