We are making the most of our isolation and the boat club has given us some fun adventures on the water. We go from the pontoon with the slide …

To trolling on the open water!

Loving our life in Florida!

We are all trying to stay safe and covid free…

Scout provides hours of fun for Bella…

My Dad took the road trip with me. We were dropping Garrett off at Camden Military Academy for his sophomore year of High School.

We managed to get in a few games of doubles…

July Blog... Longest Pandemic EVER! 2020

Have to admit, this boat club has saved us in so many ways. The social distancing has been a challenge for everyone. Not knowing what to do and wanting to get out of the house.. We can go out wake boarding, tubing, fishing or just dock up on a sand bar and have a picnic. The time this has given our family together has been invaluable. I truly appreciate Chris for nudging me to take the courses to have such freedom on the open water.

When not on the water, we are looking for creative recipes to keep us on our culinary toes. This month for July 4th we decided to do a low country boil. My mom sent me this pot a couple of years ago. I am glad to put it to some good use. (Yes I am posting pictures of food)

Random picture of our backyard… but I thought I would add it. Not sure if you can see why I put it in here. Garrett was helping me with the lawn this month. He was doing the weed whacking and I was mowing. When I got to this section, I saw the message he left for me. Sweetest Gesture!!!!!

Our inlet has the most beautiful lighthouse!

My Dad comes over to hang with our crew some weekends. Wish the fish we were catching were bigger… but it was a fun day out on the boat regardless.

Can’t say we are always making the best choices… but we got a few jumps off this sunken boat until they removed it…

The Sandbar at Peanut Island was pretty quiet on the days we go…

Avoiding the crowds is how we role.

And we try to bring Bella on as many adventures as possible. She loves the boat too but can only go when the weather is cool enough.

I am not sure how long things will remain in this limbo, but I have to feel that it is a way of bringing families closer together. Life is not so busy and our time together has really been helpful in strengthening our family unit.

Stay Safe!

June Blog... Waiting out the COVID 2020

During these crazy times… you realize that being home is actually a small gift. You get to come together and not feel the pressure of running around. We all have to figure out our new normal and we are learning to be kind and patient. We are also learning the art of online shopping. Bella scored the first purchase of this therapy bed. It’s legit called that. She wasn’t totally on board at first.

It wasn’t until I started to put the bed in all other favorite places that she started to really take to her new bed. She is pretty easy to please.

The men in my life (minus my Dad) I think I have a pretty good crew.

Lucky to have them all in my life.

Hard to believe that Logan is graduating high school and will be going to USC next year.

Cannot believe during COVID times that we were able to make this happen but Jordan finally got her drivers license and Garrett got his permit. We had to drive two counties away. Still cannot believe that I have two drivers in the house.

Family night at the beach… LOVE my tribe so much!!!

Chris and I celebrated breakfast in bed for our anniversary thanks our kids.

22 years married!

We finally bit the bullet and joined the boat club. While Chris has his eyes set on the fishing boat, I could not help but get excited for our upcoming rental of this baby! I cannot wait to go down that slide and jump off the top.

SOOOO we hop in the car to head to the marina that next weekend. Cooler packed.

Towels on board. We are all in for some serious COVID family time…

However, Mother Nature got in the way and what you can’t see is the streaks of lightening and loud booms of thunder. Not the best kick off to our boat club adventure, but we made the most out of tail gaiting!

So we headed home to grill out soak in the hot tub.

The following weekend DID cooperate and we are loving life on the water!

3 months into COVID. Waiting to return to normal.
